Our Process

Every project begins with understanding. We take time to learn the people, the goals, the requirements, the site, and the challenges that may shape the path forward. Sometimes that means early research, zoning review, entitlement work with a city or county, or coordination with engineers, consultants, and other members of the project team.

From there, we begin to develop the design in depth. We study how the building responds to the landscape, sun, views, color, scale, proportion, light, constructability, cost, and timeline. Design is not treated as a surface decision, but as the result of many careful choices working together.

Our process is guided by vision and grounded in logic. We look for the larger idea that gives a project clarity, while also working through the practical realities that make it possible to build well. Throughout the process, we communicate visually through drawings, imagery, 2D plans, and 3D views so clients can clearly understand where the project is headed.
